LSU CB Zy Alexander Enters Transfer Portal

Top Tigers Cornerback Seeks New Home

LSU cornerback Zy Alexander has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, the school announced Wednesday.

The former four-star recruit from Zachary, Louisiana, started 10 games last season and was a key part of LSU's defense that finished the year ranked 13th nationally in passing defense.

Alexander's departure is a blow to LSU's secondary.

He was expected to be a starter again this fall, but now the Tigers will have to find a replacement.

Alexander is the second LSU cornerback to enter the transfer portal this offseason, following Derek Stingley Jr.'s departure for the NFL.

With Alexander gone, LSU will likely turn to sophomore Eli Ricks and junior Cordale Flott to fill the void at cornerback.

Alexander is a talented player who should have no shortage of suitors in the transfer portal.

He has the size and athleticism to play at a high level, and he has shown that he can be a productive player in the SEC.

It will be interesting to see where Alexander ends up, but he is sure to be a valuable addition to any program that lands him.
